The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has developed a Pre-Crime Unit (PCU) with Innovative Prosecution Solution grant funds, which targets the sources of prescription drug abuse through aggressive and responsible investigations and prosecutions to combat increases in drug overdose and drugged driving. The PCU team consists of a prosecutor, investigator, and paralegal.

To combat gun related crime, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) used a grant from Innovative Prosecution Solutions (IPS) to provide prosecutors with key intelligence about the firearms used and any associated violent crime drivers.

Cobb County District Attorney’s Office (Marietta, GA)

Using Innovative Prosecution Solutions (IPS) funding, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office (CCDA), Cobb County Police Department, LiveSafe community organization, and researchers at Kennesaw State University, worked to analyze and improve Cobb County’s response to sexual violence crimes.

York County District Attorney’s Office (York, PA)

In 2016, the York City Police Department initiated a Group Violence Intervention (GVI) program in conjunction with the York County District Attorney’s Office and other partners to tackle the high violent crime rate in York city.

Yolo County District Attorney’s Office (Woodland, CA)

St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office (St. Louis, MO)

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office (CAO) is launching a multidisciplinary effort to combat intimidation and keep witnesses safe, with the goal of improving violent crime prosecutions. The CAO is using a grant from Innovative Prosecution Solutions (IPS) to launch a mobile application for victims and witnesses that allows anonymous reporting of intimidation events and pairs them with local services.

Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office (Brockton, MA)

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office (PCDA) has reinstituted its Safe Streets Initiative after an increase in violent crime and firearm use. A coordinated effort to reduce gun violence through trauma-focused prevention, enforcement, and re-entry has led to significant reductions in firearm-related violence.

Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (Phoenix, AZ)

In 2018, Phoenix partnered with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to build a Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC), which uses data from the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) to make connections between gun crimes using forensic analysis of firearms and ammunition. 

Nassau County District Attorney’s Office (Long Island, NY)
